In this course, learners will reflect on the intrinsic or extrinsic motivators that led them into healthcare and how to cultivate meaningful and healing relationships in their daily practice. Topics include Swanson’s Caring Theory and the impact of extraordinary nursing care on patients, families, and others. Personal stories from patients, families, and nurses who have received the DAISY Award will be shared. Learners will also have an opportunity to review best practices for establishing a DAISY Award program.
